Visible Image Challenge

Good afternoon Lovelies! What a beautiful day we have here, sunshine with a few clouds, it's certainly not hot, but pleasantly warm, with a cardy lol!

Anyway, I noticed a post on Facebook from Visible Image about their Challenge, I usually enter but thankfully it reminded me I hadn't, so off I trotted into my Summerhouse of crafty stash-ness and went to work with one of their fab new stamps, I love this new range, so "edgy" and different.

I used the script stamp with Archival ink then Brusho crystal paints through a "Splat" mask, I used Orange and Lime Green, I used the splats on the flower stamp to create my edge, few gold glitter dots and voila! I hope you like it?

Thank you for visiting today, hope you have a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend xx Zoe xx

Sweet Poppy stencils pt 5

Good morning Lovelies, me again with a few more Sweet Poppy samples!

The first 2 I've used the same stencil in different colour ways. The first one I used Silver texture paste and the fab glitters over top.

My second I used I used Gold Texture Paste and glitters

The third is a birthday card for my first foster baby, can't believe she will be 5 next month bless her, I had her from 4 days old until she was adopted at 17 months, it broke our hearts, but her Mummy and Daddy are wonderful people and I'm very lucky that they stay in touch. Anyway I used DI to colour her and Transluscent Texture paste with Micro beads.

Thank you for visiting, have a great weekend xx Zoe xx

Sweet Poppy Stencils - pt 4

Good morning Lovelies! Today I'm sharing with you some more of my samples using the fabulous Sweet Poppy Stencils.

My first card I made glitter card by brayering Black Sparkle Medium onto Black card, I used the pearlescent Texture Paste though the stencil and sprinkled with the fabulous Crystalina Rainbow glitter, these glitters are amazing, I'm not a big glitter person but these are so ultra fine and although sparkly they are sparkly in a subtle way, if you get my meaning? My flower is the tattered poinsettia die using vellum which I coloured using Archival inks, the Holly die is a Marianne die. The centre of my flower is the pearlescent paste I put into a mould and left to dry for a couple of days.

I used Kraft card which I splodged on Chalk paint with a sponge, the Mechanical Horse I used Pearlescent Texture Paste and while wet I removed the stencil and sprinkled on different colours of Brusho's, I finished off with some gold gilding wax.

My last card is DI through the stencil, Transluscent Texture Paste and Micro beads.

Thank you for visiting, I hope you have a fab weekend xx Zoe xx

New Sweet Poppy Stencils

Good afternoon Lovelies, I say "Good" but it's raining so not really so good :( but I've had a fab morning of crafting, using the wonderful new stencils from Sweet Poppy also some gorgeous new Glitters, wow they are pretty, very fine, the colours are beautiful. I'm only going to share 3 today, I don't want to bore you lol.

My first is very simple, Gold Texture paste with various glitters sprinkled on whilst wet.

The Bridal couple I used the White Pearlescent Texture paste with the gorgeous Christalina Rainbow Glitter whilst still wet. I used a backing paper from an old but beautiful pad I've had for years, I inked the edges with Walnut stain DI and mat and layered onto a dark brown card and white Linen texture card which I'd pierced.

I used Watercolour card which I masked the edges and liberally spritzed with water then added Brusho paint crystals, once dry I used Glossy Black Texture paste then sprinkled with Black and blue glitter.

Thank you for visiting, I hope you like my creations, have a great afternoon xx Zoe xx

August - 12 Tags of 2014

Good evening Lovelies, well it's been a very strange weather today, hot and sunny one minute, hammering it down and windy the next, then we had a monsoon with thunder and lightening, very eventful!

Anyhow, seeing as I was feeling a bit sad and lonely now my darling daughter has gone home to Canada, I threw myself into my housework today, the place is spotless, clean bedding to boot! Ooo! Love clean sheets, lol bit sad lol.

So here's my Tim Holtz August 12 tags for 2014 tag

Thank you for visiting, I really appreciate it xx Zoe xx

A few makes from my last couple of weeks

Good afternoon Lovelies. I hope you are all managing to stay safe and dry in this wet and windy spell? We have been rather lucky here down in beautiful Broadstairs, it's been wet and windy but not all day, and we've had warm sunshine in between.

Anyhow I'm feeling rather sad today as my beloved one and only daughter went back to Canada today after staying with us for nearly 2 weeks, we've had a wonderful time and the weather has been fabulous, I've managed some crafting too, but not too much, even Ashley had a dabble, I took her along to Eileen Godwins workshop last week, she really enjoyed herself, and thought Eileen and all the ladies were lovely xx

We had a lovely dinner out on Friday at a lovely Pub in Hoath - near Canterbury.

We had a lovely day out in Sandwich yesterday (Saturday)

Brushos and Scribbly birds.

Sweet Poppy Stencil, gold texture paste, mica powders and heated to bubble.

Ashley and I at the workshop, isn't she just beautiful? Sorry, I'm bias xx ;)

A tag I made for Ashley yesterday :(

Sweet Poppy Stencil, Transluscent paste and Micro beads.

Ashley started this card at the workshop and didn't like it, but we crafted together and she finished it off, to her surprise it turned out gorgeous, (I knew it would ;) )

This is Ashley's card that she made at the workshop, and I'm thrilled to bits to have found it with a lovely message of thanks inside, on her bed when we got home from dropping her at Gatwick this morning sob, sob!

Thank you so much for visiting today, have a great evening xx Zoe xx

Zoe - Challenge #8 August "Add some Glitter"

Good morning Lovelies! I've scheduled this post as my gorgeous daughter is home from Canada for a holiday, so fingers crossed it published on time?

Wow the year is flying by, August already, well I certainly enjoyed the weather July brought us, let's hope it continues. Anyway onto my post, this month the Lavinia Stamps Challenge is all about adding some glitter. Please be mindful of the rules when entering! Lavinia Stamps products must be used! Tracey offers a wonderful prize of £40 voucher to spend on Lavinia Stamp products.

So here are my samples!

I used my Gelli Plate with inks to create my background, incorporating Lavinia stamps of course, and stamped over with more Lavinia Stamps, I glittered the fairy wings, hair and stars, sadly I find glitter doesn't always photograph well! (Or at least "I" can't photograph it well)

My second is another Gelli Plate background, this time using Acrylic paint, I inked the edges using DI for some contrast, the stamped over using the fabulous Zen Maple - Leaf, I glittered the leaves and added some dots.

My third I stamped using the gorgeous Border Stamp - Floral, the Bee and the Dandelion's, I then Brayered over using a clear sparkle gel, this not only added sparkle but also texture.

Thank you for visiting, I hope you feel inspired to join in? Please don't forget to visit my teamies blogs found down the right hand side of my post, have a great day, Zoe xx

New Sweet Poppy Stencils - Sneaky Peep - Steampunk!

Good morning Lovelies, here's the first of 2 posts from me this morning. This one featuring the fantastic New Steampunk Style Stencils from Sweet Poppy! By a fab new Designer - Emma Cronin!

The lovely Lucy Ellis aka Sweet Poppy Stencils will be back on our screens on Wednesday 6th August on Create And Craft with these new designs and some fab techniques.

My first sample I've used linen texture card from Papermill direct, I coloured using DI and masks to create my scene, the using a magnetic sheet beneath my card to position my mask, I went about colouring again using Distress inks, I then removed the stencil and dried the ink with a heat tool and washed my stencil in warm soapy water, dried thourghly, then carefully put back into place, applied a layer of Sweet Poppy Translucent paste, removed the stencil then covered with clear Micro beads, and left to dry over night.

My second card, I used the same texture card, I coloured my sun using Pan Pastels and set with cheap hairspray, I used the cogs background stencil with some Freyed Burlap DI, the wonderful Mechanical horse stencil is gilding flakes, I think you'll agree he's rather magnificent!

Thank you so much for visiting, I do hope you'll be able to watch the lovely Lucy? Have a great weekend xx Zoe xx
